Frequently Asked Questions


Q: Does the price include set up and delivery?

A: Yes, although additional fees may apply for areas farther out. All orders under $250 will incur a minimum $50 delivery fee and will be scheduled on a case by case basis.

Q: Does the standard 4 hour rental time include your set up time?

A: No. We arrive early to set up so you get the entire rental time to play.

Q: When do you set up?

A: That depends on how many rentals we have that day. Generally we arrive 1-3 hours before the rental time begins. If we have a lot of rentals that day, we may need to set up as early as 4 hours in advance. If this is the case, we will call the Friday before to confirm that someone will be at the party location.

Q: We've rented some really dirty jumps from other companies in the past. Are they always that dirty?

A: No. The jump should be clean when you get it. PlayGround Games cleans and disinfects after every rental.

Q: Do we have to keep it plugged in the entire time?

A: Yes. A blower keeps air in the jump unit the entire time. Once unplugged they deflate. That's why we require an outlet within 50´ of the unit or a generator. Longer cords can pop your circuit breaker so we bring our own heavy duty cords.

Q: What about parks? Do parks have electricity?

A: We love setting up at parks but most parks do NOT have electricity. If you want to set up at a park, you must rent a generator. We rent generators at a reasonable cost. Also, parks are first come, first serve so get your spot early in the day.

Q: What payments do you take?

A: For payments we accept credit cards (MC, V, AMEX, DISC) and personal checks. A check must clear a minimum of 7 business days before your event date. Our drivers do not carry cash, so we cannot receive any payments using this method. All deposits/payments are due and expected at the time of signing our online contract. All orders require a 50% credit card or check deposit. The remaining balance is due 14 days before your event date. For payments we accept credit cards (MC, V, AMEX, DISC), personal checks, and cash. A check must clear a minimum of 7 business days before your event date. Our drivers do not carry cash, so we cannot receive any payments using this method unless it is exact change. If you choose to pay by personal check, you will need to show us your driver license. If the bank returns a check unpaid, the Lessee must pay with a cash, the amount of the check, plus a $25.00 fee to PlayGround Games address within two days. Unpaid checks will be referred to an attorney for collection with additional $50.00 cost plus any and all legal fees incurred collecting said unpaid checks. 

Q: What if we need to cancel my reservation?

A: All reservations require a NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE deposit in advance of the event. You may cancel your reservation, however, your deposit is non-refundable. Deposits are 50% of the total cost of your invoice for events.

-If you cancel within 14 days of your reservation, your deposit is non-refundable.

-If you cancel 14 or more days prior to your reservation your deposit is non-refundable, but we will apply the deposit to a new date within the same calendar year.

-Once the delivery truck leaves our warehouse, you are responsible for any remaining payments. No exceptions and no rescheduling events.


Q: Do you require a deposit?

A: Yes all orders require a 50% Credit Card deposit. The remaining balance is due 14 days before your event date. 

Q: What is your policy if there is inclement weather?

A: Inflatables cannot be used if there are winds of 25 mph or more (*20 mph for slides or any unit with a slide), and cannot be used in the rain. It would not be safe for the riders as these units use electricity. The morning of your event, we monitor the weather using We do not monitor any other weather software or website so we will not honor a different source. Any decisions will be made solely using this source. If there is a 50% chance or more for rain or a prediction of winds 25/*20mph or above, during 50% or more of the time of your event, you may decide to cancel the day of your event. Please note, we MUST keep safety in mind at all times, so PlayGround Games reserves the right to cancel your rental due to inclement weather at any time. 

-Rain- If there is a 50% or greater chance for rain during the scheduled time of your event, you may cancel or reschedule your event before 7am the morning of the scheduled delivery. However, if the forecast is calling for scattered showers, we recommend you continue with your scheduled delivery. If the forecast is for continuous rain throughout the day, we recommend you cancel or reschedule your event. 

-Wind- Inflatables cannot be used in winds exceeding 25mph (20 mph for slides or any unit with a slide). If the forecast is for high winds, we will call to cancel/reschedule your rental. You will be able to receive a full refund if your event is cancelled, or use it towards a future date in the same calendar year.  

-Temperature- All inflatables can be used in a wide range of temperatures. If the temperature is expected to fall below 32 degrees, at any time during your event, we will call the morning of your event to cancel/reschedule your delivery. You will be able to receive a full refund or use it toward a future date in the same calendar year. Keep in mind, any temperature above this, the children’s activity will keep them very warm, and we recommend you continue as scheduled. Deposits will not be refunded for temperature cancellations above 32 degrees. 

Cancellations due to weather are to be determined the morning of your event by or before 7am. We must receive a phone call and you must speak to a live person to confirm cancellation. Our office number is 847-373-6925. A voicemail, text, or email is not sufficient and we will note the time this call comes in. This call must be done before we leave the warehouse. Once the rental items are delivered, there is no refund due to rain, high winds, or change in weather. If you decide to cancel your event due to weather concerns, it must be prior to our trucks leaving the warehouse. You will be able to get a refund of your deposit/amount paid, or it may be applied to your future rental based on our cancellation policies above.


Q: How big are the jumps?

A: Most of our jumps (all of our character jumps for example) are 15´x15´ which is a little bigger than many companies rent. Please note the space required for each jump (listed near the large picture) as some are VERY big and require extra space. When in doubt, measure your space to make sure it will fit. Jumps need room to be staked and they need room for the blower and can't rub against walls or trees as this may damage the jump. The sizes listed with each jump include the space needed for stakes etc. If you have stairs or a tiered backyard, please call our office to discuss options for setup.

Q: What about the big jumps? Any special requirements?

A: Check the requirements listed with each jump. Also, make sure you have at least a 4´ access to the area where it will be set up. The jumps can weigh up to 650 pounds so we need a clear path with ample room.

Q: What surfaces do you set up on?

A: We can set up on Grass (our favorite and best for the kids), dirt, asphalt, and concrete. Sorry, we can't set up on any type of rocks as the constant rubbing will wear through the vinyl jumps.

Q: Can we see a copy of your contract and safety rules?

A: Yes. There is a link in your receipt once you've ordered or you may contact our office.

Q: Are we responsible for the unit if it gets a tear or damaged in any way?

A: Yes and no. You are not responsible for normal wear and tear on our units. Seams may develop tears in high traffic areas over a period of time. If this happens please alert us at once so we can remedy the situation. If however, damage occurs due to failure to follow our safety rules or negligence (i.e. not turning off the blower in high winds) you will be responsible for all damages up to and including replacement of the unit/blower etc which can cost thousands of dollars. We don't want you or us to be in that situation which is why we have you sign and initial on all of our safety rules so that you can be the trained operator.
